Samsung New PC Studio by Samsung. Versions: and. File name: NPSGuide.exe.
I finally solved the problem. The link you gave just sent me back to the same download, namely the 2011 version for XP, Vista, Windows 7.
I had to go to the USB Driver folder in the Samsung directory for New PC Studio. ( C: Program Files (x86) Samsung Samsung New PC Studio USB Driver) I then clicked on the driver installation file marked samsung_usb_driver_for_mobile_phones.exe and ran that in 'compatibility' mode for Windows 8. It didn't work when I ran it in regular mode. I kept getting the yellow flag error in the devices list in control panel. I removed it and reinstalled the driver in compatibility mode and it worked. I think the driver was originally written for Windows XP or Vista, not Win 7.
Anyway, maybe this will help someone else using a dinosaur flip phone:) Looks like Windows is trying to make everyone go to i-phone apps. AT&T is moving away from flip phones and toward i-phones, too. I prefer using my lap top and the old Windows 7 format. I don't like Windows 8, even though I have figured out how to get around in it. Apps are more user friendly but you can't control what they do as easily as you can the Windows 7 format.
